We had an AWESOME day at Mirror Lake today! Below are a few moments from our day!

Chicka Letter Exchange

Our class is part of a letter exchange that is taking place with several kindergarten classrooms around the United States and Canada!  We completed our projects and got them ready to send!  Before our field trip we went out to the mailbox and mailed our letters!

This is the board outside our classroom where we will hang the letters we receive!  Check it out when you come to school! We had a class from Chicago send us our first letter /k/!

Crazy Monday!

New language centers today!  Below are a few photos of what we were up to!

This afternoon we started a new theme today: All About Fall!  The kiddos were introduced to a new poem called "Falling Leaves!"

 The kiddos heard a story about fall, talked about what they know about fall, and looked at the weather pig to see how we should be dressing for fall.

  Finally we created some colorful fall trees!

And we celebrated our first kindergarten birthday!  Our birthday boy got 6 birthday hugs from his friends and then one to grow on from Mrs. Lancaster!

Name Measuring

This afternoon in math we wrote our names and then measured them with different math materials!  We also had fun just playing with the math manipulatives!
