Finger Flash

In math I have been slowly teaching the kiddos little number games to play with a partner when we are moving from math boxes to our math lesson.   The latest game we are trying out is "finger flash!'  One kiddo quickly shows their partner a set of fingers and then puts them behind their back.  The other kiddo has to quickly look at the fingers and tell the answer.  They then reverse roles.  It is a fun game and works on subitizing.  Subitizing is the ability to see a small amount of objects and know how many there are without counting.

Below are two friends showing how to play "finger flash!"  Try it at home with your child!
